Episode 88: A Glimpse into Poverty with The Compassion Journey

Did you know that 9.2% of the world, or 719 million people, live in extreme poverty? This means they’re living on less than $2.15 a day! Most of us have been blessed with more than enough to meet our basic needs, so it can be challenging to teach our kids to have compassion for those who are poor simply because they don’t have the eyes to see it. Our guest today is Lorie Lee, a church partnerships manager with Compassion International. Lorie will share the powerful story behind Compassion’s development, its mission, and a glimpse into the life of a child living in poverty through the Compassion Journey. Whether it’s across the sea or in our neighborhood, poverty is real and Jesus tells us how we can help.

Ready to hear how we can have eyes to see the needs of those around us? Let’s jump into the Compassion Journey together…
